The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (Revelation 14:7)

This past Sabbath, God was speaking to me, instructing me to study the Three Angels Message and share it with others. This is a message that is supposed to go out to the world. There is a reason why God gave us the Three Angels Message in Revelation 14:6-12. God wants to save us, He loves us dearly and He’s desperately TRYING to save us. God cannot save those we don’t want to be save, but for those who want to be save; He wants us to understand and live our daily lives according to the Three Angels Message. He also wants us to be prepared for the storm that comes before the second coming of Christ.

The Three Angels Message is a simple message, but God wants us to go deeper and higher with it. Only through the Holy Spirit can we understand and apply the Three Angels Message to our daily lives. The First Angel Message talks about Fearing God, Giving Glory to God, Judgment and Worshipping God. Through the Holy Spirit this bible study will dig deep into these topics of scripture.

Saying with a loud voice , Fear God, and give glory to Him: for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made Heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of water. Revelation 14:7

What does it mean to fear God?
First let’s clear up any misconception. To fear God does not mean to be afraid of Him. I use to think that’s what it meant. To understand what it means to fear God let’s go to Deuteronomy 10:12-14; 6:1-2; 12-15. Deuteronomy 10:12-13 tells us what it means to fear God, “to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul; to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statues. Joshua 24:14 tells us to “fear the Lord, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served”. Psalms 86:11 tells us “teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name”. Proverbs 8:13 tells us “the fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the forward mouth”.

Benefits of fearing God.
Proverbs 9:10 “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge”. Psalm 111:10 “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all that do His commandments: His praise endureth forever”. Proverbs 3:7-8, to fear God brings good health to the body. Proverbs 10:27 “the fear of the Lord prolongeth days”. Ecclesiastes 12:13 tells us the whole duty of man is to fear God and keep His commandments. Luke 1:50 “His mercy is on them that fear Him”

I think we understand what it means to fear God. Now let’s go deeper. To love God is to obey Him. It’s more than just obedience, it’s like a marriage. When we look at the way God set up marriage, we see love, commitment, devotion, sacrifice, loyalty. This is what it means to fear God. We don’t fear God today, we profess to fear Him, but we don’t live our lives according to what we profess. We revere family above God and Jesus tells us in Luke 14:26-27 that if God is not first in our loves we cannot be His disciple.

We cannot honestly think we can get to Heaven by breaking the first commandments. Thou shalt have no other gods before me says God. When we put family, job, relationships, entertainment etc above God, there is no way we are fearing Him. God demands total obedience which is rightfully His. When we get married we don’t go into that covenant thinking our spouse can love us if they want to and show how much they love us, if they want to. Children don’t want their parents to sometimes show them love. We all demand love and respect from man, but when it comes to God we don’t give it to Him. God has done more for us than everybody on this earth put together. David tells us God holds the earth in His hand (Psalm 95:4). Let’s stop professing how much we love God, and start fearing God in our daily lives by the way: we treat people, how we dress, how we talk, how and what we eat, our attitudes. All of these are a reflection of who we serve, and who our living breathing God in Heaven is.

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel Part 2

Fear God
What does it mean to fear God. Revelation 14:7”Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters”. Revelation 14:7 is The First Angels Message.

So now we have to go back in the books of the bible to understand what it means to fear God, and what do we gain by fearing God? God first told Israel to fear Him in Deuteronomy 10:12-13, it tells us to fear God is to walk in all His ways, love Him, and serve Him with all our heart and soul. Another question is how we do get to the point of walking in His ways, loving Him and serving Him, remember we sin and within our own strength, we are incapable of doing what’s right? We are like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). Christ is our example, He is holy, we must be like Him (1Peter 1:14-16). To be holy like Jesus and Fear God we have to give up this world (1 John 2:15-16).

We have to lose the attraction we have to this world. To fear God is to love Him, reverence Him, adore Him, hate evil, and obey Him. To fear God is to hate sin just like He hates it (Proverbs 8:13), so if you do not hate sin you’re not fearing God, many may say it’s impossible, to hate something I’m so attracted too, I use to say this as well, but the closer we get to Christ, who we go through to get to the Father (John 14:6), we will draw closer to God (James 4:8). We can’t expect to magically draw to God, it takes time, and it’s a process. Going to church once or twice a week won’t put you closer to God, praying once a day or a couple of times a week won’t put you closer to God; don’t get me wrong these steps are important, and it’s a start, but don’t think you’re now closer to God and now your fearing Him. We have to live out our Fear of God. Praying and going to church are good, but we have to obey God. As a child I prayed and went to church, but I was disobedient to God.

So we know we need to let go of this world to gain a closer relationship with God and we know we can live holy lives by looking at the example Christ left for us, His life on earth. So what do we gain from fearing God? (Proverbs 1:7) “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction”. The text is saying a lot, fools despise wisdom and instruction, you might not even see yourself as a fool, but if we reject God’s wisdom we are the biggest fool, the Word also tells us in (Psalm 32:9) not to be like the horse and mule which have no understanding. We HAVE to FEAR God it’s all throughout the bible. Proverbs 9:10 tells us the same thing the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

What’s so special about wisdom? (Proverbs 3:13-14; Psalms 111:10; Proverbs 4:7; Proverbs 2:10-11). For myself when I understand things, they become real to me; I can know something all my life and still not have understanding of it. When I have understanding I can deal and cope with life a whole lot better. Wisdom and understanding comes from obeying and doing the will of God, and that’s to keep His Law, which are the Ten Commandments (Proverbs 2:1-6).

So why is it so important for us to fear God? (Ecclesiastes 12:13) ”Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man”.

Just like Daniel purposed in His heart in Daniel 1:8 we have to have that same commitment, and God will give us the strength to Fear Him. Because of sin we have a natural tendency to reject and rebel against God, but what God did in the garden after Adam and Eve sinned was put enmity in our hearts against sin (Genesis 3:15). This enmity can only be manifested through the Fear of God.

Saying we love God and threatening the devil with the bible, is what many of us do today. The devil knows the bible more than us, and professing to love God with your mouth, but there is no proof of your professed love of God in your daily life is not the Fear of God. Some people reject Jesus just based on how you live your professed Christian life. It’s time for us Christians to read the Word, study the Word, meditate on the Word and Fear God which means to: surrender, hate sin, walk in His ways, purposed in our hearts to love, obey and tell others about God and how to fear Him.

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (Revelation 14:7) Part 4

What does it mean to fear God.

Revelation 14:7”Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters”. Revelation 14:7 is The First Angels Message.

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (Revelation 14:7) Part 5

Give glory to God

1 Corinthians 10:31
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Exodus 33:17-23

17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

All throughout the bible, we see giving glory to God means to give praise to God, it deals with worship as well. When we dig a little deeper, the bible also shows us, giving glory to God means to reflect the character of God in our daily lives as well. When Moses asked God to show him His glory, God showed His back, because that’s all you could show Moses without him dying. Moses saw more than the back side of God. He saw God’s character. Exodus 34:5-8 goes into more details

Exodus 34:5-8

5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.

6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

Moses saw the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), summed up. Notice the scripture focuses on the character of God and not His physical features. Whenever a person asks you to describe a person, you might describe a few physical features, but you describe the character of that person more than they’re physical features, because that is what matters most.

When we look back at 1 Corinthians 10:31 how can we eat and drink to the glory of God? I use to think this text meant, as long as we pray over our food we are giving glory to God and this is eating and drinking to the glory of God, but God opened my eyes and showed me more. First we have to understand what is God’s glory? We just found out God’s glory is His character. In giving glory to God we have to do things that represent God and give glory to His name, if God has told us not to do certain things and to only eat a certain way, when we go outside of that, we’re not giving glory to God.

Here’s two examples. God has told us; don’t eat swine (pig) because it is unclean and don’t touch the dead carcass (Deuteronomy 14:8; Isaiah 65:2-4). We don’t need science to validate God, but sometimes it shows the evidence of God’s Word. Science has proven that people that eat pork are found to have more diseases and ailments than people that eat other meats.

God has told us strong drink and wine is a mocker (Proverbs 20:1, 23:29-32).

When we look at the health of the world, we see people are dying from what they eat, we see many car accidents linked to drinking strong drinks while driving, we see disease is rampant, because we have failed to obey God’s Health Laws. We don’t understand, our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, we have been bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and since we should give glory to God in what we eat and drink, we can’t eat any and everything we choose. I've heard many people say, it doesn't matter what I eat, I’m going to die anyway, but according to Ecclesiastes 7:17 you can die before your time. To do all to the glory of God, we have to give the honor and praise to God, we have to obey God’s Law; Health and Moral, people have to see God in us and in everything we do. That is giving glory to God.

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (For the hour of His judgment IS come Revelation 14:7) Part 6

When we look at the judgment of God, many are terrified. I was terrified at one point. We look at judgment as a bad thing. God’s judgment is bad when you are being judged at the final judgment. We will go through the different types of judgment in this bible study to understand ‘the hour of His judgment is come” in Revelation 14:7.

Ecclesiastes 12:14
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Revelation 22:12
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

There are three phases or three parts to God’s Judgment. There is investigation, sentencing and execution. We will go deep into these three parts of God’s Judgment. The devil wants us to be spiritually blind to God’s Word. He doesn’t want us to have understanding of God’s Word. Many believe in their hearts we can keep sinning until Jesus comes. If that’s the case, what is the point of the two texts above and why is there a judgment. Since we all can be saved, no matter what we do, because Jesus died on the cross, what’s the point of the second coming of Jesus?

When I first read “the hour of His judgment is come” in Revelation 14:7, I use to wonder what does that mean. For a long time I thought there is only one judgment; when everybody stood before the judgment seat to be given a good judgment or bad judgment. We will discover that is a partial truth. We all will be judged before the judgment seat, but not at the same time. The final judgment when Jesus comes for the third and final coming, is when everyone is standing before God. There are two groups of people, one group is standing with and beside God and the other groups is facing God and are about to receive their sentencing and soon execution. We will dive into this more in the next bible study.

We cannot be approved by God if we do not study. We can hear 1,000 sermons and still not understand the Word of God. The reason is, we learn by personal experience. The preacher has knowledge and understanding, because he has studied. Let us reason together and study for ourselves together and go deep into the Word of God.

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (For the hour of His judgment IS come Revelation 14:7) Part 7

The first phase in God’s Judgment is the Investigation or Investigative Judgment. Psalm 33:13 tells us God sees all. There is nothing hidden from God. When we look back at Ecclesiastes 12:14, how does God bring everything we have done good or evil into judgment? God has to have a record, there has to be an investigation of every human on this earth. There are books that record everything we do, good, bad and our names are in a book too. We see in Malachi 3:16 all our good deeds are in the book of Remembrance.
We know our bad deeds have to be recorded too, how else can God give a guilty judgment or bad reward (The Lake of Fire) to a person? In Revelation we see, why your name is in the book of life and why it’s not (Revelation 13:8, 3:5, 20:15, 21:27, 22:19, 17:8). The book of life is talked about in the Old Testament too (Exodus 32:33, Psalms 69:28). We want our names in the Book of Life and we want our good deeds in the book of Remembrance. We want our names and good deeds to remain in the Book of Life and the Book of Remembrance.

They can be blotted out of both books by sins that we commit. Jesus has not come yet, because He’s giving us time to surrender to Him, but there is a limit to this grace. Grace teaches us to deny sin (Titus 2:11-15) and live righteous, thus Victory over sin. We have read the story of Sodom, the Antediluvians (The Flood), the probation of the Jews (Matthew 23:38), and soon the destruction of sin and everything it has contaminated and is still attached too, when Jesus returns for the second coming.

Satan wants us to only view Jesus as a God of love. God is love, but He also chastise those He loves (Revelation 3:19), He also a judge. Many look at God as being one dimensional, we only focus on Jesus death at the cross, but neglect what He’s doing in the Heavenly Sanctuary as High Priest (Hebrews 8:1-5, 7:24-27). We focus only on a Savior and not a Lord. We are in the last days, judgment is taking place and when you die, your probation has ended, and your reward has already been decided. The final judgment that everybody thinks is the only judgment, is for the people that are lost. If you are standing before God’s presence to be judged you are lost. The bible tells us in Corinthians the saints will judge angels and the wicked (1 Corinthians 6:2-3), the saints will be not be standing before God to be judged in the final judgment. When Jesus comes back the second time the saints will be taken in the air to meet Jesus and taken to Heaven (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (For the hour of His judgment IS come Revelation 14:7) Part 8

10334236 563598290453272 2805951774631823214 n (1)

The law of God is the standard by which the characters and the lives of men will be tested in the Judgment. Says the wise man: “Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into Judgment.” [Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14.]

The book of life contains the names of all who have ever entered the service of God. Jesus bade his disciples, “Rejoice, because your names are written in Heaven.” [Luke 10:20.] Paul speaks of his faithful fellow-workers, “whose names are in the book of life.” [Philippians 4:3.] Daniel, looking down to “a time of trouble, such as never was,” declares that God’s people shall be delivered, “everyone that shall be found written in the book.” [Daniel 12:1.] And the Revelator says that those only shall enter the city of God whose names “are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” [Revelation 21:27.] – {GC88 480.3}

May your name remain -Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.” [Exodus 32:33.]
There is a record also of the sins of men. “For God shall bring every work into Judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” [Ecclesiastes 12:14.] “Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of Judgment.” Said the Saviour, “By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” [Matthew 13:36, 37.] The secret purposes and motives appears in the unerring register; for God “will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts.” [1 Corinthians 4:5.] “Behold, it is written before me, ... your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the Lord.” [Isaiah 65:6, 7.] – {GC88 481.2}

A book of remembrance” is written before God, in which are recorded the good deeds of “them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.” [Malachi 3:16.] Their words of faith, their acts of love, are registered in Heaven. Nehemiah refers to this when he says, “Remember me, O my God, ... and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God.” [Nehemiah 13:14.] In the book of God’s remembrance every deed of righteousness is immortalized. There every temptation resisted, every evil overcome, every word of tender pity expressed, is faithfully chronicled. And every act of sacrifice, every suffering and sorrow endured for Christ’s sake, is recorded. Says the psalmist. “Thou tellest my wanderings. Put thou my tears into thy bottle; are they not in thy book?” [Psalm 56:8.] – {GC88 481.1}

The book of remembrance- good deeds blotted out because of sin

When the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, ... all his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned.” [Ezekiel 18:24.] – {GC88 483.1}

All who have truly repented of sin, and by faith claimed the blood of Christ as their atoning sacrifice, have had pardon entered against their names in the books of Heaven; as they have become partakers of the righteousness of Christ, and their characters are found to be in harmony with the law of God, their sins will be blotted out, and they themselves will be accounted worthy of eternal life. The Lord declares, by the prophet Isaiah, “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.” [Isaiah 43:25.] Said Jesus, “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in Heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in Heaven.” [Revelation 3:5; Matthew 10:32, 33.] – {GC88 483.2}

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (For the hour of His judgment IS come Revelation 14:7) Part 9 The Investigative Judgment

The Investigative Judgment started in 1844, based around the prophecy of the 2300 Days of Daniel 8:14. To connect the dots and explain the Investigative Judgment and how it started in 1844, we have to look at the Day of Atonement to fully understand. The Day of Atonement is connected to the Hebrew and Heavenly Sanctuary. After the fall of man, God missed that close connection He had with man. We see in Genesis God walked and talked with Adam and Eve, in Genesis 3:8, God personally came to the garden to give them judgment for their disobedience. After sin God could not physical walk and talk with man, there was now a disconnect. God came up with a way to reconnect with man and show us why we shouldn't sin and its effects. He also wanted to show us the soon coming Redeemer.

In Exodus 25:8 God told Moses to make a Sanctuary so He may dwell among His people. The Sanctuary on earth was a way for us to reconnect with God, understand how sin has separated us from God, why the wages of sin is death; something had to die, and it shows us the plan of salvation. Psalm 77:13 tells us God’s way is in the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is important for us to know and understand. We can see the plan of salvation, God’s Law, His Word, how important prayer is; how to have the character of Christ, why we must sacrifice and die daily to self; why we must be new creatures molded and shaped by God, why we must witness, and God’s judgment.

In the Sanctuary were feast Days, but there was one that wasn’t a feast day, but a solemn day of repentance, fasting,  the affliction of your soul, examining yourself and making sure there was no sin found in you. On the Day of Atonement the High Priest would go into the Most Holy Place only once a year on that day (Hebrews 9:7). This is what happened on that day
Leviticus 16:29-31 (KJV)

29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:

30 For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the Lord.

The Day of Atonement

(Numbers 29:7-11)

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (For the hour of His judgment IS come Revelation 14:7) Part 10 The Investigative Judgment

Today is a special day because on this day October 22 in 1844, Jesus left the Holy Place and entered into the Most Holy Place in the Heavenly Sanctuary. I don't know about you, but I'm ready, but need to get prepared to go home. Jesus has been in the Most Holy Place for a 170 years. He has to return and take back to Heaven a people that can vindicate the character of the Father.

In the Sanctuary on earth, only the High Priest could enter the Most Holy Place once a year on the Day of Atonement. This is the one day when all the blood (sins) on the veil separating the Holy and Most Holy Place were cleansed by God. If your blood (sins) where not on the veil, you were cut off from God’s people (Leviticus 23:27-32). Now we have a high priest (Hebrews 7:26, 8:1). Hebrews 7 explains why the work Jesus is doing in the Heavenly Sanctuary is slightly different from the work of the priest on earth and how important this work is. Jesus is interceding, judging and blotting out sins in the Most Holy Place. During this time just the children of Israel had to afflict their souls and treat that time like a Sabbath. We should be afflicting our souls, but first a fast has to take place (Ezra 8:21).

During this time Jesus is searching our hearts (Jeremiah 17:10). Jesus is looking at our hearts and trying to get us to understand, no sin can be found in us when He returns. In order for that to happen, we have to gain the victory over sin on earth. Jesus is now preparing a people that have the patience of the saints (Revelation 14:12), those who truly love Him (John 14:15). Jesus has to present these people before the Father (Ephesians 5:27) when He returns.

Investigate your own heart and see is their sin still in your life, if so go to Him that is able to keep you from falling (Jude 24). Hide God's Word in your heart (Psalm 119:11). Turn away from sin (Acts 3:19), let Jesus blot those sins out of the book and keep your name in the book of life (Revelation 20:15).

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (For the hour of His judgment IS come Revelation 14:7) Part 11 The Investigative Judgment

"I beheld," says the prophet Daniel, "till thrones were placed, and One that was Ancient of Days did sit: His raiment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like pure wool; His throne was fiery flames, and the wheels thereof burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him: thousand thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened." Daniel 7:9, 10, R.V. {GC 479.1}

Thus was presented to the prophet's vision the great and solemn day when the characters and the lives of men should pass in review before the Judge of all the earth, and to every man should be rendered "according to his works." The Ancient of Days is God the Father. Says the psalmist: "Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God." Psalm 90:2. It is He, the source of all being, and the fountain of all law, that is to preside in the judgment. And holy angels as ministers and witnesses, in number "ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands," attend this great tribunal. {GC 479.2}
"And, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. And there was given Him
480
dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away." Daniel 7:13, 14. The coming of Christ here described is not His second coming to the earth. He comes to the Ancient of Days in heaven to receive dominion and glory and a kingdom, which will be given Him at the close of His work as a mediator. It is this coming, and not His second advent to the earth, that was foretold in prophecy to take place at the termination of the 2300 days in 1844. Attended by heavenly angels, our great High Priest enters the holy of holies and there appears in the presence of God to engage in the last acts of His ministration in behalf of man--to perform the work of investigative judgment and to make an atonement for all who are shown to be entitled to its benefits. {GC 479.3}

In the typical service only those who had come before God with confession and repentance, and whose sins, through the blood of the sin offering, were transferred to the sanctuary, had a part in the service of the Day of Atonement. So in the great day of final atonement and investigative judgment the only cases considered are those of the professed people of God. The judgment of the wicked is a distinct and separate work, and takes place at a later period. "Judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel?" 1 Peter 4:17. {GC 480.1}

The books of record in heaven, in which the names and the deeds of men are registered, are to determine the decisions of the judgment. Says the prophet Daniel: "The judgment was set, and the books were opened." The revelator, describing the same scene, adds: "Another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." Revelation 20:12. {GC 480.2}
The book of life contains the names of all who have ever entered the service of God. Jesus bade His disciples: "Rejoice,
481
because your names are written in heaven." Luke 10:20. Paul speaks of his faithful fellow workers, "whose names are in the book of life." Philippians 4:3. Daniel, looking down to "a time of trouble, such as never was," declares that God's people shall be delivered, "everyone that shall be found written in the book." And the revelator says that those only shall enter the city of God whose names "are written in the Lamb's book of life." Daniel 12:1; Revelation 21:27. {GC 480.3}
"A book of remembrance" is written before God, in which are recorded the good deeds of "them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon His name." Malachi 3:16. Their words of faith, their acts of love, are registered in heaven. Nehemiah refers to this when he says: "Remember me, O my God, . . . and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God." Nehemiah 13:14. In the book of God's remembrance every deed of righteousness is immortalized. There every temptation resisted, every evil overcome, every word of tender pity expressed, is faithfully chronicled. And every act of sacrifice, every suffering and sorrow endured for Christ's sake, is recorded. Says the psalmist: "Thou tellest my wanderings: put Thou my tears into Thy bottle: are they not in Thy book?" Psalm 56:8. {GC 481.1}
There is a record also of the sins of men. "For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." "Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment." Says the Saviour: "By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Ecclesiastes 12:14; Matthew 12:36, 37. The secret purposes and motives appear in the unerring register; for God "will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts." 1 Corinthians 4:5. "Behold, it is written before Me, . . . your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the Lord." Isaiah 65:6, 7.
482
{GC 481.2}

Every man's work passes in review before God and is registered for faithfulness or unfaithfulness. Opposite each name in the books of heaven is entered with terrible exactness every wrong word, every selfish act, every unfulfilled duty, and every secret sin, with every artful dissembling. Heaven-sent warnings or reproofs neglected, wasted moments, unimproved opportunities, the influence exerted for good or for evil, with its far-reaching results, all are chronicled by the recording angel. {GC 482.1}
The law of God is the standard by which the characters and the lives of men will be tested in the judgment. Says the wise man: "Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment." Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14. The apostle James admonishes his brethren: "So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty." James 2:12{GC 482.2}
Those who in the judgment are "accounted worthy" will have a part in the resurrection of the just. Jesus said: "They which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, . . . are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection." Luke 20:35, 36. And again He declares that "they that have done good" shall come forth "unto the resurrection of life." John 5:29. The righteous dead will not be raised until after the judgment at which they are accounted worthy of "the resurrection of life." Hence they will not be present in person at the tribunal when their records are examined and their cases decided. {GC 482.3}

Jesus will appear as their advocate, to plead in their behalf before God. "If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." 1 John 2:1. "For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us." "Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them." Hebrews 9:24; 7:25.
483
{GC 482.4}
As the books of record are opened in the judgment, the lives of all who have believed on Jesus come in review before God. Beginning with those who first lived upon the earth, our Advocate presents the cases of each successive generation, and closes with the living. Every name is mentioned, every case closely investigated. Names are accepted, names rejected. When any have sins remaining upon the books of record, unrepented of and unforgiven, their names will be blotted out of the book of life, and the record of their good deeds will be erased from the book of God's remembrance. The Lord declared to Moses: "Whosoever hath sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My book." Exodus 32:33. And says the prophet Ezekiel: "When the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, . . . all his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned." Ezekiel 18:24. {GC 483.1}

All who have truly repented of sin, and by faith claimed the blood of Christ as their atoning sacrifice, have had pardon entered against their names in the books of heaven; as they have become partakers of the righteousness of Christ, and their characters are found to be in harmony with the law of God, their sins will be blotted out, and they themselves will be accounted worthy of eternal life. The Lord declares, by the prophet Isaiah: "I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins." Isaiah 43:25. Said Jesus: "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels." "Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven." Revelation 3:5; Matthew 10:32, 33. {GC 483.2}
The deepest interest manifested among men in the decisions of earthly tribunals but faintly represents the interest

evinced in the heavenly courts when the names entered in the book of life come up in review before the Judge of all the earth. The divine Intercessor presents the plea that all who have overcome through faith in His blood be forgiven their transgressions, that they be restored to their Eden home, and crowned as joint heirs with Himself to "the first dominion." Micah 4:8. Satan in his efforts to deceive and tempt our race had thought to frustrate the divine plan in man's creation; but Christ now asks that this plan be carried into effect as if man had never fallen. He asks for His people not only pardon and justification, full and complete, but a share in His glory and a seat upon His throne. {GC 483.3}

While Jesus is pleading for the subjects of His grace, Satan accuses them before God as transgressors. The great deceiver has sought to lead them into skepticism, to cause them to lose confidence in God, to separate themselves from His love, and to break His law. Now he points to the record of their lives, to the defects of character, the unlikeness to Christ, which has dishonored their Redeemer, to all the sins that he has tempted them to commit, and because of these he claims them as his subjects. {GC 484.1}
Jesus does not excuse their sins, but shows their penitence and faith, and, claiming for them forgiveness, He lifts His wounded hands before the Father and the holy angels, saying: I know them by name. I have graven them on the palms of My hands. "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise." Psalm 51:17. And to the accuser of His people He declares: "The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?" Zechariah 3:2. Christ will clothe His faithful ones with His own righteousness, that He may present them to His Father "a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing." Ephesians 5:27. Their names stand enrolled in the book of life, and concerning them it is written: "They shall walk with Me in white: for they are worthy." Revelation 3:4.

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (For the hour of His judgment IS come Revelation 14:7) Part 12 The Investigative Judgment

Thus will be realized the complete fulfillment of the new-covenant promise: "I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." "In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found." Jeremiah 31:34; 50:20. "In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even everyone that is written among the living in Jerusalem." Isaiah 4:2, 3.  {GC 485.1}
     The work of the investigative judgment and the blotting out of sins is to be accomplished before the second advent of the Lord. Since the dead are to be judged out of the things written in the books, it is impossible that the sins of men should be blotted out until after the judgment at which their cases are to be investigated. But the apostle Peter distinctly states that the sins of believers will be blotted out "when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and He shall send Jesus Christ." Acts 3:19, 20. When the investigative judgment closes, Christ will come, and His reward will be with Him to give to every man as his work shall be.  {GC 485.2}
     In the typical service the high priest, having made the atonement for Israel, came forth and blessed the congregation. So Christ, at the close of His work as mediator, will appear, "without sin unto salvation" (Hebrews 9:28), to bless His waiting people with eternal life. As the priest, in removing the sins from the sanctuary, confessed them upon the head of the scapegoat, so Christ will place all these sins upon Satan, the originator and instigator of sin. The scapegoat, bearing the sins of Israel, was sent away "unto a land not inhabited" (Leviticus 16:22); so Satan, bearing the guilt of all the sins which he has caused God's people to commit, will be for a thousand years confined to the earth, which will then be desolate, without inhabitant, and he will at last suffer the
                                                                           486
full penalty of sin in the fires that shall destroy all the wicked. Thus the great plan of redemption will reach its accomplishment in the final eradication of sin and the deliverance of all who have been willing to renounce evil.  {GC 485.3}
     At the time appointed for the judgment--the close of the 2300 days, in 1844--began the work of investigation and blotting out of sins. All who have ever taken upon themselves the name of Christ must pass its searching scrutiny. Both the living and the dead are to be judged "out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."  {GC 486.1}
     Sins that have not been repented of and forsaken will not be pardoned and blotted out of the books of record, but will stand to witness against the sinner in the day of God. He may have committed his evil deeds in the light of day or in the darkness of night; but they were open and manifest before Him with whom we have to do. Angels of God witnessed each sin and registered it in the unerring records. Sin may be concealed, denied, covered up from father, mother, wife, children, and associates; no one but the guilty actors may cherish the least suspicion of the wrong; but it is laid bare before the intelligences of heaven. The darkness of the darkest night, the secrecy of all deceptive arts, is not sufficient to veil one thought from the knowledge of the Eternal. God has an exact record of every unjust account and every unfair dealing. He is not deceived by appearances of piety. He makes no mistakes in His estimation of character. Men may be deceived by those who are corrupt in heart, but God pierces all disguises and reads the inner life.  {GC 486.2}
     How solemn is the thought! Day after day, passing into eternity, bears its burden of records for the books of heaven. Words once spoken, deeds once done, can never be recalled. Angels have registered both the good and the evil. The mightiest conqueror upon the earth cannot call back the record of even a single day. Our acts, our words, even our most secret motives, all have their weight in deciding our destiny for weal or woe. Though they may be forgotten by
                                                                           487
us, they will bear their testimony to justify or condemn.  {GC 486.3}
     As the features of the countenance are reproduced with unerring accuracy on the polished plate of the artist, so the character is faithfully delineated in the books above. Yet how little solicitude is felt concerning that record which is to meet the gaze of heavenly beings. Could the veil which separates the visible from the invisible world be swept back, and the children of men behold an angel recording every word and deed, which they must meet again in the judgment, how many words that are daily uttered would remain unspoken, how many deeds would remain undone.  {GC 487.1}
     In the judgment the use made of every talent will be scrutinized. How have we employed the capital lent us of Heaven? Will the Lord at His coming receive His own with usury? Have we improved the powers entrusted us, in hand and heart and brain, to the glory of God and the blessing of the world? How have we used our time, our pen, our voice, our money, our influence? What have we done for Christ, in the person of the poor, the afflicted, the orphan, or the widow? God has made us the depositaries of His holy word; what have we done with the light and truth given us to make men wise unto salvation? No value is attached to a mere profession of faith in Christ; only the love which is shown by works is counted genuine. Yet it is love alone which in the sight of Heaven makes any act of value. Whatever is done from love, however small it may appear in the estimation of men, is accepted and rewarded of God.  {GC 487.2}
     The hidden selfishness of men stands revealed in the books of heaven. There is the record of unfulfilled duties to their fellow men, of forgetfulness of the Saviour's claims. There they will see how often were given to Satan the time, thought, and strength that belonged to Christ. Sad is the record which angels bear to heaven. Intelligent beings, professed followers of Christ, are absorbed in the acquirement of worldly possessions or the enjoyment of earthly pleasures. Money, time, and strength are sacrificed for display and
                                                                           488
self-indulgence; but few are the moments devoted to prayer, to the searching of the Scriptures, to humiliation of soul and confession of sin.  {GC 487.3}
     Satan invents unnumbered schemes to occupy our minds, that they may not dwell upon the very work with which we ought to be best acquainted. The archdeceiver hates the great truths that bring to view an atoning sacrifice and an all-powerful mediator. He knows that with him everything depends on his diverting minds from Jesus and His truth.  {GC 488.1}
     Those who would share the benefits of the Saviour's mediation should permit nothing to interfere with their duty to perfect holiness in the fear of God. The precious hours, instead of being given to pleasure, to display, or to gain seeking, should be devoted to an earnest, prayerful study of the word of truth. The subject of the sanctuary and the investigative judgment should be clearly understood by the people of God. All need a knowledge for themselves of the position and work of their great High Priest. Otherwise it will be impossible for them to exercise the faith which is essential at this time or to occupy the position which God designs them to fill. Every individual has a soul to save or to lose. Each has a case pending at the bar of God. Each must meet the great Judge face to face. How important, then, that every mind contemplate often the solemn scene when the judgment shall sit and the books shall be opened, when, with Daniel, every individual must stand in his lot, at the end of the days.  {GC 488.2}
     All who have received the light upon these subjects are to bear testimony of the great truths which God has committed to them. The sanctuary in heaven is the very center of Christ's work in behalf of men. It concerns every soul living upon the earth. It opens to view the plan of redemption, bringing us down to the very close of time and revealing the triumphant issue of the contest between righteousness and sin. It is of the utmost importance that all should thoroughly investigate these subjects and be able to give an answer to
                                                                           489
everyone that asketh them a reason of the hope that is in them.  {GC 488.3}
     The intercession of Christ in man's behalf in the sanctuary above is as essential to the plan of salvation as was His death upon the cross. By His death He began that work which after His resurrection He ascended to complete in heaven. We must by faith enter within the veil, "whither the forerunner is for us entered." Hebrews 6:20. There the light from the cross of Calvary is reflected. There we may gain a clearer insight into the mysteries of redemption. The salvation of man is accomplished at an infinite expense to heaven; the sacrifice made is equal to the broadest demands of the broken law of God. Jesus has opened the way to the Father's throne, and through His mediation the sincere desire of all who come to Him in faith may be presented before God.  {GC 489.1}

     "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." Proverbs 28:13. If those who hide and excuse their faults could see how Satan exults over them, how he taunts Christ and holy angels with their course, they would make haste to confess their sins and to put them away. Through defects in the character, Satan works to gain control of the whole mind, and he knows that if these defects are cherished, he will succeed. Therefore he is constantly seeking to deceive the followers of Christ with his fatal sophistry that it is impossible for them to overcome. But Jesus pleads in their behalf His wounded hands, His bruised body; and He declares to all who would follow Him: "My grace is sufficient for thee." 2 Corinthians 12:9. "Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." Matthew 11:29, 30. Let none, then, regard their defects as incurable. God will give faith and grace to overcome them.  {GC 489.2}

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (For the hour of His judgment IS come Revelation 14:7) Part 14 Three Phases of Judgment

We looked at the Investigative judgment. We understand how it started October 22, 1844. According to Daniel 8:14. The 2300 Day Prophecy was fulfilled on that day.

We know in the earthly Sanctuary service the priest went into the Holy Place and sprinkled blood on the veil (Leviticus 4:6) that separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.

This symbolized the sins of God's people being covered, but not blotted out. The blood on the veil represented Jesus dying on the cross to COVER our sins.

There are three phases to God's judgement, we discussed the first phase, investigation. The next is sentencing, since we are being investigated right now, a sentence has to come, when will this sentence come?

When we look at the justice system on earth. A trial comes after an investigation, after the investigation takes place, if the person is found guilty, a sentence is given, and the execution comes after that sentencing.

Judgment begins at the house of God (1 Peter 4:17). Throughout the bible we see probation coming for the world and we see it happen for God's people. We see in (Genesis 6:3) the probation for the antidullevians was a 120 years. We see the probation of the Jews in 34 A.D. through the 2300 Day Prophecy (Daniel 8:14) when Stephen was stoned. This is called the sentencing and execution judgement.

The Final Judgment takes place at the third coming of Jesus. The wicked dead and living will be sentenced and their judgment will be executed (Revelation 20).

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (For the hour of His judgment IS come Revelation 14:7) Part 15 “Worship Him that made Heaven, and earth, and the sea and the fountains of water”

John 4:24 (KJV)
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

How do we worship God in spirit and truth? To worship God there must be a standard. We can’t worship God how we think He wants to be worship. It has been said we were made to worship, but I tend to believe we were made more than to worship God. Throughout the bible we see all different types of worship; singing: after the children of Israel escaped Pharaoh and crossed the Red Sea they sang a song of worship and praise to God (Exodus 15:1-21), listening to music (David played holy music to cause the demon spirit to leave Saul 1 Samuel 16:14-23), meditating on God, David danced.

With these ways to worship God we know Satan came up with a counterfeit. Speaking in an unknown language (gibberish), today they call it speaking in tongues, people dancing supposedly like David, has turned into the two step. True worship comes from a thankful, grateful heart. When David danced it was because he could finally take the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem. Uzzah had just recently died from touching the Ark and David was grateful for the mercy of God, thinking about all the mess he had done and God had spared his life.

All these texts talk about worshipping God. Exodus 20:2-6, Deuteronomy 29:18, 1 Samuel 15:22, 2 Kings 17:38-39, 1 Chronicles 16:23-31, Nehemiah 9:5-6, Psalm 29:1-11, Psalm 86:9-10, Psalm 99:1-9, Psalm 100:1-5, Isaiah 29:13, Daniel 3:16-18, John 4:21-24, Romans 12:1-2, Hebrews 12:28-29,, Revelation 14:7.

When you think about worship it’s a lot more than going to church, doing good deeds, reading your bible and praying. It’s a lifestyle and people will see you’re genuinely striving to worship God in spirit and in truth.

Worship is the key to eternal life, it’s a reflection of our relationship with Jesus. Satan’s counterfeit is based on emotion and outward expressions. I think about Elijah and the prophets of Baal. People today in church look like the prophets of Baal. They shout loud, they jump up and down, run around, fall out, speak in a gibberish tongue. They shake violently. This can’t be the moving of the Holy Spirit, this is not Worshipping God in Spirit and Truth. There are no examples of God’s people worshipping Him like people call worship today. When the children of Israel worshipped God, they came before Him with reverence, respect, humble. Angels come before God proclaiming He is holy, with the utmost reverence. The prophets of Baal had to scream at their god. God had Jacob and his family remove their gods (necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings) before they came before Him to worship Him (Genesis 35:1-4)

1 Kings 18
22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the Lord; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:

24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.

25 And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.

26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.

27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.

28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.

29 And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.

30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.

31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the Lord came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:

32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.

33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.

34 And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.

35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.

36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.

37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.

38 Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

God is not pleased with the way we worship Him. We come into His house naked, we play the music of the world, and we talk about common things in His House of Prayer. We stay on our phones, we let our children play games on our phones, iPads etc. We let our children run around the Sanctuary and even play on the pulpit. After service we talk in the Sanctuary like it’s not God’s House of Prayer. I think a lot of times God is not present, because we are the Laodicean church, we have pushed Jesus out and He is at the door knocking (Revelation 3:20). We need to start worshipping God in spirit and in truth. One of the reasons we come into His house and not worship Him correctly, because this is the way our worship experience has been with Him all week long.

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (“Worship Him that made Heaven, and earth, and the sea and the fountains of water” Revelation 14:7) Part 16 Worship in Dance. David was not in the Sanctuary when he danced, he was outside, and he did not dance to music. He gave sacrifices to God every few steps.

2 Samuel 6:6-17 KJV)

And when they came to Nachon's threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.
And David was displeased, because the Lord had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.
And David was afraid of the Lord that day, and said, How shall the ark of the Lord come to me?
So David would not remove the ark of the Lord unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
And the ark of the Lord continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the Lord blessed Obededom, and all his household.
And it was told king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.
And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
And as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.
And they brought in the ark of the Lord, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.

The Philistines, who had not a knowledge of God's law, had placed the ark upon a cart when they returned it to Israel, and the Lord accepted the effort which they made. But the Israelites had in their hands a plain statement of the will of God in all these matters, and their neglect of these instructions was dishonoring to God. Upon Uzzah rested the greater guilt of presumption. Transgression of God's law had lessened his sense of its sacredness, and with unconfessed sins upon him he had, in face of the divine prohibition, presumed to touch the symbol of God's presence. God can accept no partial obedience, no lax way of treating His commandments. By the judgment upon Uzzah He designed to impress upon all Israel the importance of giving strict heed to His requirements. Thus the death of that one man, by leading the people to repentance, might prevent the necessity of inflicting judgments upon thousands.  {PP 705.3}

     Feeling that his own heart was not wholly right with God, David, seeing the stroke upon Uzzah, had feared the ark, lest some sin on his part should bring judgments upon him. But Obed-edom, though he rejoiced with trembling, welcomed the sacred symbol as the pledge of God's favor to the obedient. The attention of all Israel was now directed to the Gittite and his household; all watched to see how it would fare with them. "And the Lord blessed Obed-edom, and all his household."  {PP 706.1}
     Upon David the divine rebuke accomplished its work. He was led to realize as he had never realized before the sacredness of the law of God and the necessity of strict obedience. The favor shown to the house of Obed-edom led David again to hope that the ark might bring a blessing to him and to his people.  {PP 706.2}

     At the end of three months he resolved to make another attempt to remove the ark, and he now gave earnest heed to carry out in every particular the directions of the Lord. Again the chief men of the nation were summoned, and a vast assemblage gathered about the dwelling place of the Gittite. With reverent care the ark was now placed upon the shoulders of men of divine appointment, the multitude fell into line, and with trembling hearts the vast procession again set forth. After advancing six paces the trumpet sounded a halt. By David's direction sacrifices of "oxen and fatlings" were to be offered. Rejoicing now took the place of trembling and terror. The king had laid aside his royal robes and had attired himself in a plain linen ephod, such as was worn by the priests. He did not by this act signify that he assumed priestly functions, for the ephod was sometimes worn by others besides the priests. But in this holy service he would take his place as, before God, on an equality with his subjects. Upon that day Jehovah was to be adored. He was to be the sole object of reverence.  {PP 706.3}

     Again the long train was in motion, and the music of harp and cornet, trumpet and cymbal, floated heavenward, blended with the melody of many voices. "And David danced before the Lord," in his gladness keeping time to the measure of the song.  {PP 707.1}

     David's dancing in reverent joy before God has been cited by pleasure lovers in justification of the fashionable modern dance, but there is no ground for such an argument. In our day dancing is associated with folly and midnight reveling. Health and morals are sacrificed to pleasure. By the frequenters of the ballroom God is not an object of thought and reverence; prayer or the song of praise would be felt to be out of place in their assemblies. This test should be decisive. Amusements that have a tendency to weaken the love for sacred things and lessen our joy in the service of God are not to be sought by Christians. The music and dancing in joyful praise to God at the removal of the ark had not the faintest resemblance to the dissipation of modern dancing. The one tended to the remembrance of God and exalted His holy name. The other is a device of Satan to cause men to forget God and to dishonor Him.  {PP 707.2}

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (“Worship Him that made Heaven, and earth, and the sea and the fountains of water” Revelation 14:7) Part 17

The bible tells us to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). To worship God spiritually is to act just like Him. To act just like God we have to know how to be like Him. The first thing we need to know is what is God’s character? Galatians 5:22-23 tells us what the character of God is. To worship God is synonymous to giving glory to Him and the bible tells us in everything we do, do to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). To worship God in spirit is to show reverence, respect, give honor and glory. To worship God in truth is to obey, stand up for the truth that God has given us in His Word, and live out the truth. People should know we are Christians by how we act and carry ourselves. We shouldn’t look like and act like everybody else, they should see Christ in us.

Why should we worship God? We worship God because He is worthy to be worshipped, He is the Creator of the universe and of us. He created Adam and Eve and through them we have been created. In Genesis we see the Creation of this world (Genesis 1:1-28). God didn’t create anything on the 7 Day but He set that day aside for us to remember who the creator is, He wants us to worship, honor, give glory to Him and spend 24 hours with Him (Genesis 2:2-3). Why would God change this? Why would He say, this day doesn’t matter anymore, you can take any day and treat it like the Sabbath? Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8 tells us God is the same yesterday, today and forever. If God makes any changes to something He has set up, He will let us know about it. Here’s an example of this.

We all know about the animals being sacrificed in the old testament in the Hebrew Sanctuary (Exodus 25:8). These animals were killed because the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), something had to die every time they sinned, this was before Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice. Now when Jesus came to earth and died, there was no longer a need for animals to be sacrificed and that whole system to carry on. Everything had been fulfilled. The sacrificial system (ceremonial laws) were set up to point to Christ. No animal death, could do what Jesus the Son of God’s death and sacrifice could do. It was only a symbol or a shadow, pointing to the real sacrifice (Jesus). We saw the end to this sacrificial system when Jesus died and the veil that separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place was rent or torn into two, from the top to bottom (Mathew 27:51). This showed no man could have done this and this was the work of God. The veil that separated the Holy from the Most Holy Place was sacred and no one, but the priest could go and see the Holy Place, and no one but the High Priest could go into the Most Holy Place and see inside of it. So when Jesus died and everyone could see inside the Holy Place and Most Holy Place, it showed the end of the sacrificial system (Ceremonial Laws).

God would never leave His people in the dark about a change He has made to something He has set up. There is nowhere in the bible where it states or shows the 7 Day Sabbath has been changed or altered. There is nowhere where it states or shows the 7 Day Sabbath has been changed and replaced to the first day of the week (Sunday).

There is one church that boldly say, they by the authority of their church have changed the 7 Day Sabbath to the first day (Sunday). This church is the Roman Catholic Church, this is where Sunday sacredness came from, not from the bible and not from God. They have documented in books this change they say has come about.

Here are some quotes from their books
A. “Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [from Sabbath to Sunday] was her act. And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.” (C.F. Thomas, chancellor of cardinal Gibbons)
B. “The Pope has the power to change times, to abrogate laws, and to dispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ.” (Decretal De Translat, Episcap, cap.)
C. “The church is above the Bible. And this transference of the Sabbath observance is proof of that fact.” (The Catholic Record, September 1, 1923)
The Mark of the Beast is Sunday worship. This is what the Catholic Church claims as the mark of her authority. (Matthew 15:9)
A. “Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the church ever did, happened in the first century. The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday, not from any directions noted in scripture, but from the church’s sense of its own power. People who think that the scripture should be the sole authority should logically become Seventh - day Adventist and keep Saturday holy.” (The Saint Catherine’s Catholic Church Sentinel, May 21, 1995)
B. You can be affected by the mark even if you’re not Catholic!
1. “The bible says, ‘Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy,’ but the Catholic Church says: No, keep the first day of the week,’ and the whole world bows in obedience.” (Father Enright, The Industrial American, Harlan, Iowa 12/19/99)
2. “It was the Catholic Church which … transferred this rest to Sunday… Thus the observance of Sunday by the Protestants is an homage they pay, in spite of themselves, to the authority of the [Catholic] Church.” (Protestantism Today, by Monsignor Luis Segur, p.213)
Sunday worship will be enforced by law. In the bible Nebuchadnezzar forced everyone to bow down and worship the image (Daniel 3:4,5), the beast will threaten death to those who will not worship on Sunday (Revelation 13:15-17). You can believe it or not, but it will happen.
A. The Catholic Church is already trying to enforce Sunday worship. “The Celebration of the Christian Sunday remains, on the threshold of the Third Millennium, and the indispensable element of our Christian identity… Christians will naturally strive to ensure that civil legislation respects their duty to keep Sunday holy.” (Pope John Paul II, Dies Domini, Sections 30 and 67)
B. Receiving the mark in your forehead means you think Sunday worship is a good idea and you follow it and you believe it to be the day of worship.
C. Receiving the mark in your hand means you might not believe in Sunday worship but obeying man is easier than standing up for God.

You can look these quotes up. They’re not in a secret library, they are in the open.

The Three Angels Message-The First Angel (“Worship Him that made Heaven, and earth, and the sea and the fountains of water” Revelation 14:7) Part 18

Why does the angel tell us who to worship?

The object of our worship seems obvious. It's God. And there is only one true God (Deut. 6:4), but the angel doesn't simply say, "worship the true God." He is specific about who God is. He is calling us to get to know Him in a special way. Let's read the passage.

"And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." (Rev. 14:6, 7)

The angel must have a reason for identifying God as the one who made all things. How do we worship God as Creator? Most scientists today believe that all life forms evolved over very long periods of time. A supernatural event such as a divine creation doesn't fit into their theories. If they can't explain it, they conclude that it must not be true. They forget that God is "past finding out."

Creation
As a creationist, I, and likely you, believe that the same God who made the universe also made the rules by which it operates. In other words, He controls the rules. They don't control Him.
"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen." (Rom. 11:33-36)
I praise God that no one now or ever, will be able to analyze Him by their own finite intelligence or be His provider. He is always greater. Our security is trusting in His love with the magnificent evidence of the cross. We can be confident that He who made us also sustains us.
And with this trust, how do we know He created all things? From what He tells us in the Scriptures. "By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. . . . Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast." (Ps. 33:6-9)
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. . . . And the evening and the morning were the first day." (Gen. 1:1-5)
Each successive day God expanded His physical creation. At the end of the sixth day, the work was completed. As we read the account, we remember the words of the angel: ". . . worship Him that made heaven, and earth and the sea, and the fountains of waters."

Fountains of waters
This phrase in verse 7 is significant. I believe God wanted to catch our attention since it is different from the fourth commandment, the obvious source for the verse ex2011. The three angels fly with their messages of warning near the end of human probation on earth. They come before the great time of trouble and the return of Christ. This the message of this first angel points us back to the fountains of waters described in the account of creation and the flood. God knew that His work of sending the flood would be doubted by many scientists. Pointing us to the great layers of rock formations, He warns us not to misinterpret the evidence. His coming destruction of the earth by fire will be just as real as the destruction of the earth by the flood.

When the work was finished
"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made." (Gen. 2:1-3).
During the time the descendants of Jacob were in Egypt, they had grown careless and had taken up the worship of the Egyptians (Josh. 24:14). To introduce the ten commandments God said, ". . . I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage." (Ex. 20:2). With the coming out was a renewal of true worship. One commandment carries a particular introduction. It begins with the word, "Remember." The requirement it explains was not new at Sinai (Ex. 16; 19:1; Gen. 2:1-

3. The people had wandered away like lost sheep and needed to remember. Here is the commandment:
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates." (Ex. 20:8-10)
The commandment continues by declaring the authority of the one who gave it. "For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." (v. 11)
Does this remind you of something about Rev. 14:7, the verse we are studying? Both tell us about the authority of God. Here's how the verse ends: ". . . worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." So, in the end time, as the three angels give the last warning messages to a world about to be swept away by the beast power, this relationship with God will be especially important. How do we worship the one who made these things? The commandment tells us. We worship God as the one who created all in six days and lovingly requires that keep every seventh day as a sabbath rest.

We earlier noticed that the gospel preached by the angel is an everlasting one. That means it is not new. To accept the everlasting gospel is to # fear God, # to give Him glory, and # to worship Him. This means returning to neglected relationships with Him in these three ways, # by purity of heart and mind (fearing Him, Ps. 111:10); # by physical purity (glorifying Him in the body, (1 Cor. 6:20); and # by purity of worship following the commandment He gave for remembering Him as creator.

Does God have guidelines for how we should worship? This presentation takes look at the issue of praise & worship in light of the 3 Angel's messages of Revelation 14.

The Three Angels Message- Part 22

The First Angel is the message, the Second Angel is the Warning, the Third Angel is the punishment. We discussed the First Angel. Now we will discuss the Second Angel. Many people don’t understand what Revelation 14:8 is talking about or what it means.

The Second Angel-And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication (Revelation 14:8).

Babylon-The city stood on the river Frat, or Euphrates, and it is supposed, on the spot where the tower of Babel was founded.
2. Like the language of Babel; mixed; confused. (Websters Dictionary)

Babylon in the Bible Expand

the Greek form of BABEL; Semitic form Babilu, meaning "The Gate of God." In the Assyrian tablets it means "The city of the dispersion of the tribes." The monumental list of its kings reaches back to B.C. 2300, and includes Khammurabi, or Amraphel (q.v.), the contemporary of Abraham. It stood on the Euphrates, about 200 miles above its junction with the Tigris, which flowed through its midst and divided it into two almost equal parts. The Elamites invaded Chaldea (i.e., Lower Mesopotamia, or Shinar, and Upper Mesopotamia, or Accad, now combined into one) and held it in subjection. At length Khammu-rabi delivered it from the foreign yoke, and founded the new empire of Chaldea (q.v.), making Babylon the capital of the united kingdom. This city gradually grew in extent and grandeur, but in process of time it became subject to Assyria. On the fall of Nineveh (B.C. 606) it threw off the Assyrian yoke, and became the capital of the growing Babylonian empire. Under Nebuchadnezzar it became one of the most splendid cities of the ancient world. After passing through various vicissitudes the city was occupied by Cyrus, "king of Elam," B.C. 538, who issued a decree permitting the Jews to return to their own land (Ezra 1).

It then ceased to be the capital of an empire. It was again and again visited by hostile armies, till its inhabitants were all driven from their homes, and the city became a complete desolation, its very site being forgotten from among men. On the west bank of the Euphrates, about 50 miles south of Bagdad, there is found a series of artificial mounds of vast extent. These are the ruins of this once famous proud city. These ruins are principally (1) the great mound called Babil by the Arabs. This was probably the noted Temple of Belus, which was a pyramid about 480 feet high. (2) The Kasr (i.e., "the palace"). This was the great palace of Nebuchadnezzar. It is almost a square, each side of which is about 700 feet long. The little town of Hillah, near the site of Babylon, is built almost wholly of bricks taken from this single mound. (3) A lofty mound, on the summit of which stands a modern tomb called Amran ibn-Ali. This is probably the most ancient portion of the remains of the city, and represents the ruins of the famous hanging-gardens, or perhaps of some royal palace. The utter desolation of the city once called "The glory of kingdoms" (Isa.13:19) was foretold by the prophets (Isa.13:4-22; Jer. 25:12; 50:2, 3; Dan. 2:31-38).

The Babylon mentioned in 1 Pet. 5:13 was not Rome, as some have thought, but the literal city of Babylon, which was inhabited by many Jews at the time Peter wrote. In Rev. 14:8; 16:19; 17:5; and 18:2, "Babylon" is supposed to mean Rome, not considered as pagan, but as the prolongation of the ancient power in the papal form. Rome, pagan and papal, is regarded as one power. "The literal Babylon was the beginner and supporter of tyranny and idolatry...This city and its whole empire were taken by the Persians under Cyrus; the Persians were subdued by the Macedonians, and the Macedonians by the Romans; so that Rome succeeded to the power of old Babylon. And it was her method to adopt the worship of the false deities she had conquered; so that by her own act she became the heiress and successor of all the Babylonian idolatry, and of all that was introduced into it by the immediate successors of Babylon, and consequently of all the idolatry of the earth." Rome, or "mystical Babylon," is "that great city which reigneth over the kings of the earth" (17:18).

The Three Angels Message- Part 23

The Second Angel-And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication (Revelation 14:8).

What is Babylon in this text? It can’t be that same Babylon that King Nebuchadnezzar raised up, that same city built in the same spot the Tower of Baal was built. The word Babylon means confusion, disorder, lasciviousness etc. In this text Babylon is a state of mind and Apostate Protestant churches. Churches that have rejected the First Angels message. Churches that don’t fear God, don’t obey and keep His Ten Commandments.

It’s one thing to strive to obey God and you fall short, but to purposely disobey Him is another thing. Babylon is the worship of Satan, consciously or unconsciously. Babylon is rejection of Creation and belief in evolution. Some Christians say they believe Creation and Evolution, that’s impossible. Babylon is the world. When God’s people take on the world’s traditions, customs etc., they’re in a Babylonian state of mind. Revelation 18 tells us about the ultimate fate of Babylon which happens right before Jesus comes.

Those who are Babylon will accept the Mark of the Beast. We have to make sure we are rooted and grounded in Jesus Christ. We will explore more about Babylon and how to get out of that state of mind and accept the First Angel’s message, heed the warning of the second and never accept the Mark of the Beast and experience the fate of the people that accept the Mark.

The Three Angels Message- Part 24

The Second Angel-And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication (Revelation 14:8).

Babylon the Great

Revelation 17

1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

In Revelation 14 the first angel is followed by a second proclaiming: "Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." Revelation 14:8. The term "Babylon" is derived from "Babel," and signifies confusion. It is employed in Scripture to designate the various forms of false or apostate religion. In Revelation 17 Babylon is represented as a woman --a figure which is used in the Bible as the symbol of a church, a virtuous woman representing a pure church, a vile woman an apostate church. {GC 381.1}

In the Bible the sacred and enduring character of the relation that exists between Christ and His church is represented by the union of marriage. The Lord has joined His people to Himself by a solemn covenant, He promising to be their God, and they pledging themselves to be His and His alone. He declares: "I will betroth thee unto Me forever; yea, I will betroth thee unto Me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving-kindness, and in mercies." Hosea 2:19. And, again: "I am married unto you." Jeremiah 3:14. And Paul employs the same figure in the New Testament when he says: "I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ." 2 Corinthians 11:2. {GC 381.2}

The unfaithfulness of the church to Christ in permitting her confidence and affection to be turned from Him, and allowing the love of worldly things to occupy the soul, is likened to the violation of the marriage vow. The sin of Israel in departing from the Lord is presented under this figure; and the wonderful love of God which they thus despised is touchingly portrayed: "I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest Mine." "And thou wast exceeding beautiful and thou didst prosper into a kingdom. And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through My comeliness, which I had put upon thee. . . . But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown." "As a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel, saith the Lord;" "as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!" Ezekiel 16:8, 13-15, 32; Jeremiah 3:20. {GC 381.3}

In the New Testament, language very similar is addressed to professed Christians who seek the friendship of the world above the favor of God. Says the apostle James: "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." {GC 382.1}

The woman (Babylon) of Revelation 17 is described as "arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness:...and upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots." Says the prophet: "I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus."

7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Babylon is further declared to be "that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth." Revelation 17:4-6, 18. The power that for so many centuries maintained despotic sway over the monarchs of Christendom is Rome. The purple and scarlet color, the gold and precious stones and pearls, vividly picture the magnificence and more than kingly pomp affected by the haughty see of Rome. And no other power could be so truly declared "drunken with the blood of the saints" as that church which has so cruelly persecuted the followers of Christ. Babylon is also charged with the sin of unlawful connection with "the kings of the earth." It was by departure from the Lord, and alliance with the heathen, that the Jewish church became a harlot; and Rome, corrupting herself in like manner by seeking the support of worldly powers, receives a like condemnation. {GC 382.2}

Babylon is said to be "the mother of harlots." By her daughters must be symbolized churches that cling to her doctrines and traditions, and follow her example of sacrificing the truth and the approval of God, in order to form an unlawful alliance with the world. The message of Revelation 14, announcing the fall of Babylon must apply to religious bodies that were once pure and have become corrupt. Since this message follows the warning of the judgment, it must be given in the last days; therefore it cannot refer to the Roman Church alone, for that church has been in a fallen condition for many centuries. Furthermore, in the eighteenth chapter of the Revelation the people of God are called upon to come out of Babylon.

According to this scripture, many of God's people must still be in Babylon. And in what religious bodies are the greater part of the followers of Christ now to be found? Without doubt, in the various churches professing the Protestant faith. At the time of their rise these churches took a noble stand for God and the truth, and His blessing was with them. Even the unbelieving world was constrained to acknowledge the beneficent results that followed an acceptance of the principles of the gospel. In the words of the prophet to Israel: "Thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through My comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God." But they fell by the same desire which was the curse and ruin of Israel--the desire of imitating the practices and courting the friendship of the ungodly. "Thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown." Ezekiel 16:14, 15. {GC 382.3}

Many of the Protestant churches are following Rome's example of iniquitous connection with "the kings of the earth"--the state churches, by their relation to secular governments; and other denominations, by seeking the favor of the world. And the term "Babylon"--confusion--may be appropriately applied to these bodies, all professing to derive their doctrines from the Bible, yet divided into almost innumerable sects, with widely conflicting creeds and theories. {GC 383.1}

The Three Angels Message Part 25- The fate of those stuck in the Babylonian mindset.

The Second Angel-And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication (Revelation 14:8).

Babylon in the bible days fell (Daniel 2:25-26, 37,39) and spiritual Babylon has fallen too (Revelation 14:8, 18:2-3)

This bible study will go into details of why Babylon has fallen.

Revelation 18:1-5 (The 4th Angels Message)

1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Revelation 18 points to the time when, as the result of rejecting the threefold warning of Revelation 14:6-12, the church will have fully reached the condition foretold by the second angel, and the people of God still in Babylon will be called upon to separate from her communion. This message is the last that will ever be given to the world; and it will accomplish its work. When those that "believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thessalonians 2:12), shall be left to receive strong delusion and to believe a lie, then the light of truth will shine upon all whose hearts are open to receive it, and all the children of the Lord that remain in Babylon will heed the call: "Come out of her, My people" (Revelation 18:4). {GC 390.2}

Revelation 18:6-17

6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.

15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

"Her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. . . . In the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, . . . saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come." Revelation 18:5-10. {GC 653.1}
"The merchants of the earth," that have "waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies," "shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, and saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! For in one hour so great riches is come to nought." Revelation 18:11, 3, 15-17. {GC 653.2}
Such are the judgments that fall upon Babylon in the day of the visitation of God's wrath. She has filled up the measure of her iniquity; her time has come; she is ripe for destruction.

Revelation 18:18-24

18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

When the voice of God turns the captivity of His people, there is a terrible awakening of those who have lost all in the great conflict of life. While probation continued they were blinded by Satan's deceptions, and they justified their course of sin. The rich prided themselves upon their superiority to those who were less favored; but they had obtained their riches by violation of the law of God. They had neglected to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to deal justly, and to love mercy. They had sought to exalt themselves and to obtain the homage of their fellow creatures.

Now they are stripped of all that made them great and are left destitute and defenseless. They look with terror upon the destruction of the idols which they preferred before their Maker. They have sold their souls for earthly riches and enjoyments, and have not sought to become rich toward God. The result is, their lives are a failure; their pleasures are now turned to gall, their treasures to corruption. The gain of a lifetime is swept away in a moment. The rich bemoan the destruction of their grand houses, the scattering of their gold and silver. But their lamentations are silenced by the fear that they themselves are to perish with their idols. {GC 654.1}
The wicked are filled with regret, not because of their sinful neglect of God and their fellow men, but because God has conquered. They lament that the result is what it is; but they do not repent of their wickedness. They would leave no means untried to conquer if they could. {GC 654.2}
The world see the very class whom they have mocked and derided, and desired to exterminate, pass unharmed through pestilence, tempest, and earthquake. He who is to the transgressors of His law a devouring fire, is to His people a safe pavilion. {GC 654.3}
The minister who has sacrificed truth to gain the favor of men now discerns the character and influence of his teachings. It is apparent that the omniscient eye was following him as he stood in the desk, as he walked the streets, as he mingled with men in the various scenes of life. Every emotion of the soul, every line written, every word uttered, every act that led men to rest in a refuge of falsehood, has been scattering seed; and now, in the wretched, lost souls around him, he beholds the harvest. {GC 654.4}

The Three Angels Message Part 26-The Third Angel (The punishment)

Revelation 14
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

We will take our time in this bible study to cover each part of the scriptures above. What does it mean to worship the beast? First we need to find out who is the beast.

Who is the beast? (A) A kingdom that rises up in a populated area of the world (Revelation 13:1; Revelation 17:15).
A. It is a power that has worldwide influence (Revelation 13:3,8)
B. It is a religious power (Revelation 13:4)
C. It receives a deadly wound that is healed. (Revelation 13:3).

1. “In 1798, he [Berthier]… made his entrance into Rome, abolished the papal government, and established a secular one.” (Encyclopedia Americana, 1941).

2. “The Roman question tonight was a thing of the past and the Vatican was at peace with Italy…. In affixing the autographs to the memorable document, healing the wound, extreme cordiality was displayed on both sides.” (“Mussolini and Gasparri Signed Historic Roman Pact” San Francisco Chronicle, February 11, 1929.

D. It reigns supreme for 1,260 years (Revelation 13:5)
1. The Holy Roman Empire held civil and religious power from AD 538 to AD 1798.
E. Blasphemous; claims attributes of God and ability to forgive sin. (Revelation 13:5,6: John 10:33; Luke 5:21)

1. “We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.” (Pope Leo)
2. “God himself is obliged to abide by judgment of His priests, and either not to pardon, or to pardon, according as they refuse or give absolution.” (Dignities and Duties of the Priest, vol 12, p.27)
F. It is a power that persecuted TMH’s people. (Revelation 13:7)
G. Religious power dominating civil powers. (Revelation 13:7)

1. “Under him was very nearly made good the Papal claim that all earthly sovereigns were [subordinate to] the Roman pontiff…. Almost all the kings and princes of Europe swore [loyalty] to him as their overlord. Rome was once more the mistress of the world.” (Myers General History, page 455).
The beast talked about in Revelation 14:9 is the Papacy, the Roman Catholic Church system. The people of the Catholic Church are not the beast. The head of the RCC and the system it operates under is the Beast Power.

Who gave power to the Beast?
Revelation 13:4
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Who is the dragon?
Revelation 12:7-9
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Who is the dragon against?
Revelation 12:16-17

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The Three Angels Message Part 27-The Third Angel (The punishment)

What is the Image of the Beast?
The image of the beast is a mirror of the beast. Someone’s image could be considered a shadow, a replica, or a copy. In this case it is similar to a replica. The image of the Beast is apostate protestantism and the union between church and state.

What is the problem with the Beast?

Daniel 7:24, 25
And the ten horns out of this kingdom [are] ten kings [that] shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Dan. 7:24, 25

This is a definition of the Roman Empire which sprung out of the Grecian empire sometime around 168~167 B.C.

In Daniel 7:7, there is a definition of Rome as being the beast that was more dreadful than the preceding kingdoms, Babylon, Medo-Persia and Grecia. The student must understand and firmly accept that the kingdom that succeeded Grecia was the Pagan form of

Roman Empire.
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it [was] diverse from all the beasts that [were] before it; and it had ten horns. Dan. 7:7

Daniel further goes on to say in Daniel 7:8
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn [were] eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. Dan. 7:8
Now we see that out of this first edition of the dreadful beast came a new version of this beast, which plucked out (from the roots) three of the horns that were before it.

Historically we can see that these three horns (or kingdoms) were the Vandals, Ostrogoths and the Heruli; three of the barbarian tribes that were made totally extinct when the papacy used the Roman military to destroy them not only by direct military force but also by intrigue in causing war between each of them at different points in time. When this was completed in or around 508 A.D. the papacy, with the help of the Franks king Clovis was set to become the Abomination (transgression) that maketh desolate. Dan. 8:13

Further proof is found in Daniel 7:20
And of the ten horns that [were] in his head, and [of] the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even [of] that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look [was] more stout than his fellows. Dan. 7:20

Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom [are] ten kings [that] shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. Dan. 7:23, 24

These four lines of scripture in Daniel prove that this beast could be none other than the Roman Empire in form as a pagan ruler and then in its second, the papal edition, which was no less the ghost of pagan Rome with Christian garb wrapped around its hideous devilish ways.

There are some key characteristics of Rome that are seen in both the Pagan and Papal form. We find this in Daniel 7:25
And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Dan. 7:25

This is a key point for it makes clear that the Roman empire in its two forms (Pagan and Papal) did the very things that Daniel said it would do to prove that it is the fourth beast and totally at odds with God.

This beast power or kingdom spoke words against God. It (the Papacy) claimed to be God!

What could be any clearer than an enemy of God claiming to be God? This is why the Jews were to stone (kill) Christ.
The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. John 10:33
So according to the law of God (the first Commandment), a created being claiming to be God is blasphemy.

In Isaiah 8:12 we see that this speaking against God as the character of Satan.
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isa. 14:12~14

Any person or institution that makes this claim is setting itself against God.

The Roman Empire in its Pagan and Papal forms killed the people of God. They killed over 100 million Christians during the years after Christ and even killed the Jews before Christ. So this is without a doubt proof that this is the Roman Empire.

We can further prove that this is Rome because Rome changed times (the original names of Jewish months in the calendar) which originally was base on a 30-day month and 360 days in a year.
The Roman emperors in attempts to memorialize their names or favorite gods added days to months taking seven months from 30 to 31 days.

The Three Angels Message Part 28-The Third Angel (The punishment)

January (in Latin, Ianuarius) is named after Janus, the god of the doorway; the name has its beginnings in Roman mythology, coming from the Latin word for door (ianua) since January is the door to the year.

The name of March comes from ancient Rome, when March was the first month of the year and named Martius after Mars or Ares, the Greek god of war.

The month May was named for the Greek goddess Maia, who was identified with the Roman eragoddess of fertility, Bona Dea, whose festival was held in May.

Previously, July was called Quintilis in Latin, since it was the fifth month in the ancient Roman calendar, which traditionally set March as the beginning of the year before it was changed to January at the time of the decemvirs about 450 BC. The name was then changed by Augustus to honor Julius Caesar, who was born in July. In the ancient Roman calendar the ides of July fell on the 15th day of the month.

August was originally named Sextilis in Latin, because it was the sixth month in the original ten-month Roman calendar under Romulus in 753 BC, when March was the first month of the year.

About 700 BC it became the eighth month when January and February were added to the year before March by King Numa Pompilius, who also gave it 29 days. Julius Caesar added two days when he created theJulian calendar in 45 BC giving it its modern length of 31 days. In 8 BC it was renamed in honor of Augustus.
The eighth month in the old Roman calendar, October retained its name (from the Latin "octo" meaning "eight") after January and

February were inserted into the calendar that had originally been created by the Romans.
The Hebrew months, those given to the world by God are…
Nissan, Iyyar, Sivan, Tammuz, Av, Elul, Tishri, Marseshvan Kislev, Tebeth, Shevat, Adar, Adar L.

Notice that there are thirteen months in the Jewish calendar. This included the month Adar L. This month was added in the leap year. The Romans thought that they could change God’s calendar and then found out that they had to go back to a leap year principal after they found that the lunar and solar rotations were out of sink. So we see that Rome “thought” to change times by changing the calendar. But also note that Rome thought to change days. While she could not change the configuration of a day by adding and hour here or taking an hour away there, she changed a day that began at evening (and the evening and the morning were the first day, second day, third day) and made the entire world accept that a day begins at 12:00 am.

Additionally, she attempted to change the configuration of the week by saying that Sunday is the seventh day (at various times in her history times) by saying that the first day is the reason why Christians worship, as a memorial to the creation and then a memorial to the resurrection.

This is changing times and laws without a doubt. For God made the Sabbath a memorial to Him and his work.

The Three Angels Message Part 29-The Third Angel (The punishment)

God rested as an example of what its to be done on the seventh day.

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. Gen, 2:2

He blessed that day…
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Gen. 2:3

He made it sacred…
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Gen. 2:3

Therefore God made a particular day blessed and Holy. No other day has that characteristic. Not other day carries the exact credentials of God.

This day carries the seal of the living God. It tells us that he created the creation. Therefore it is His. It tells us that the day was set aside by Him and it tells us what was done by Him to memorialize His work. This is no different than Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and Forth of July.

These are all days that man has set aside as day of memorializing something and there are things that are done on these days as signs of man remembering something be it war, veterans, workers, or giving thanks to God.

And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. Exod. 12:14

And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD's law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt. Exod. 13:9

Now that we have solid established what a memorial day is, what the Sabbath is, let us determine two things. Who changed it and what would changing it mean?

In 321 A.D. Emperor Constantine by and edict force the world to change their worship from Sabbath to Sunday by the motivation of the church. This again is proof that Rome thinketh to change times and laws.

However, Rome is not ashamed to say that she did this not by the authority of God but by its own authority.

The word of Rome says:

"The Pope has the power to change times, to abrogate laws, and to dispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ." "The Pope has the authority and often exercised it, to dispense with the command of Christ." -Decretal, de Tranlatic Episcop. Cap. (The Pope can modify divine law.) Ferraris' Ecclesiastical Dictionary.
Catholic Confessions James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of our Fathers, 88th ed., pp. 89.

"But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify."
Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism 3rd ed., p. 174.

"Question: Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?
"Answer: Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her-she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority."
John Laux, A Course in Religion for Catholic High Schools and Academies (1 936), vol. 1, P. 51.

"Some theologians have held that God likewise directly determined the Sunday as the day of worship in the New Law, that He Himself has explicitly substituted the Sunday for the Sabbath. But this theory is now entirely abandoned. It is now commonly held that God simply gave His Church the power to set aside whatever day or days she would deem suitable as Holy Days. The Church chose Sunday, the first day of the week, and in the course of time added other days as holy days."
Daniel Ferres, ed., Manual of Christian Doctrine (1916), p.67.

"Question: How prove you that the Church hath power to command feasts and holy days?
"Answer. By the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants allow of, and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same Church.'
James Cardinal Gibbons, Archbishop of Baltimore (1877-1921), in a signed letter.

"Is Saturday the seventh day according to the Bible and the Ten Commandments? I answer yes. Is Sunday the first day of the week and did the Church change the seventh day -Saturday - for Sunday, the first day? I answer yes . Did Christ change the day'? I answer no!
"Faithfully yours, J. Card. Gibbons"
The Catholic Mirror, official publication of James Cardinal Gibbons, Sept. 23, 1893.

"The Catholic Church, . . . by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday."
Catholic Virginian Oct. 3, 1947, p. 9, art.

"To Tell You the Truth."
"For example, nowhere in the Bible do we find that Christ or the Apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of God given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath day, that is the 7th day of the week, Saturday. Today most Christians keep Sunday because it has been revealed to us by the[Roman Catholic] church outside the Bible."
Peter Geiermann, C.S.S.R., The Converts Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (1957), p. 50.

More from the mouth of Rome

"Question: Which is the Sabbath day?
"Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day.
"Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
"Answer. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday."
Martin J. Scott, Things Catholics Are Asked About (1927),p. 136.

"Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that worship should be changed from Saturday to Sunday .... Now the Church ... instituted, by God's authority, Sunday as the day of worship. This same Church, by the same divine authority, taught the doctrine of Purgatory long before the Bible was made. We have, therefore, the same authority for Purgatory as we have for Sunday."
Peter R. Kraemer, Catholic Church Extension Society (1975),Chicago, Illinois.

"Regarding the change from the observance of the Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday, I wish to draw your attention to the facts:

"1) That Protestants, who accept the Bible as the only rule of faith and religion, should by all means go back to the observance of the Sabbath. The fact that they do not, but on the contrary observe the Sunday, stultifies them in the eyes of every thinking man.
"2) We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only rule of faith. Besides the Bible we have the living Church, the authority of the Church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church, instituted by Christ to teach and guide man through life, has the right to change the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept her change of the Sabbath to Sunday. We frankly say, yes, the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance, the Friday abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages and a thousand other laws.
"It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in their Bible."
T. Enright, C.S.S.R., in a lecture at Hartford, Kansas, Feb. 18,1884.

"I have repeatedly offered $1,000 to anyone who can prove to me from the Bible alone that I am bound to keep Sunday holy. There is no such law in the Bible. It is a law of the holy Catholic Church alone. The Bible says, 'Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.' The Catholic Church says: 'No. By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day and command you to keep holy the first day of the week.' And lo! The entire civilized world bows down in a reverent obedience to the command of the holy Catholic Church."

Protestant Confessions
Protestant theologians and preachers from a wide spectrum of denominations have been quite candid in admitting that there is no Biblical authority for observing Sunday as a sabbath.
Anglican/Episcopal
Isaac Williams, Plain Sermons on the Catechism , vol. 1, pp.334, 336.

"And where are we told in the Scriptures that we are to keep the first day at all? We are commanded to keep the seventh; but we are nowhere commanded to keep the first day .... The reason why we keep the first day of the week holy instead of the seventh is for the same reason that we observe many other things, not because the Bible, but because the church has enjoined it."
Canon Eyton, The Ten Commandments , pp. 52, 63, 65.

"There is no word, no hint, in the New Testament about abstaining from work on Sunday .... into the rest of Sunday no divine law enters.... The observance of Ash Wednesday or Lent stands exactly on the same footing as the observance of Sunday."
Bishop Seymour, Why We Keep Sunday .
We have made the change from the seventh day to the first day, from Saturday to Sunday, on the authority of the one holy Catholic Church."
Baptist
Dr. Edward T. Hiscox, a paper read before a New York ministers' conference, Nov. 13, 1893, reported in New York Examiner , Nov.16, 1893.

"There was and is a commandment to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not Sunday. It will be said, however, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of the week .... Where can the record of such a transaction be found? Not in the New Testament absolutely not.

"To me it seems unaccountable that Jesus, during three years' intercourse with His disciples, often conversing with them upon the Sabbath question . . . never alluded to any transference of the day; also, that during forty days of His resurrection life, no such thing was intimated. "Of course, I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history . . . . But what a pity it comes branded with the mark of paganism, and christened with the name of the sun god, adopted and sanctioned by the papal apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism!"
William Owen Carver, The Lord's Day in Our Day , p. 49.

"There was never any formal or authoritative change from the Jewish seventh-day Sabbath to the Christian first-day observance."
Congregationalist
Dr. R. W. Dale, The Ten Commandments (New York: Eaton &Mains), p. 127-129.

" . . . it is quite clear that however rigidly or devotedly we may spend Sunday, we are not keeping the Sabbath - . . 'Me Sabbath was founded on a specific Divine command. We can plead no such command for the obligation to observe Sunday .... There is not a single sentence in the New Testament to suggest that we incur any penalty by violating the supposed sanctity of Sunday."
Timothy Dwight, Theology: Explained and Defended (1823), Ser. 107, vol. 3, p. 258.

" . . . the Christian Sabbath [Sunday] is not in the Scriptures, and was not by the primitive Church called the Sabbath."
Disciples of Christ
Alexander Campbell, The Christian Baptist, Feb. 2, 1824,vol. 1. no. 7, p. 164.

"'But,' say some, 'it was changed from the seventh to the first day.' Where? when? and by whom? No man can tell. No; it never was changed, nor could it be, unless creation was to be gone through again: for the reason assigned must be changed before the observance, or respect to the reason, can be changed! It is all old wives' fables to talk of the change of the Sabbath from the seventh to the first day. If it be changed, it was that august personage changed it who changes times and laws ex officio - I think his name is Doctor Antichrist.'
First Day Observance , pp. 17, 19.

"The first day of the week is commonly called the Sabbath. This is a mistake. The Sabbath of the Bible was the day just preceding the first day of the week. The first day of the week is never called the Sabbath anywhere in the entire Scriptures. It is also an error to talk about the change of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. There is not in any place in the Bible any intimation of such a change."
Lutheran
The Sunday Problem , a study book of the United Lutheran Church (1923), p. 36.

"We have seen how gradually the impression of the Jewish sabbath faded from the mind of the Christian Church, and how completely the newer thought underlying the observance of the first day took possession of the church. We have seen that the Christians of the first three centuries never confused one with the other, but for a time celebrated both."
Augsburg Confession of Faith art. 28; written by Melanchthon, approved by Martin Luther, 1530; as published in The Book of Concord of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Henry Jacobs, ed. (1 91 1), p. 63.

"They [Roman Catholics] refer to the Sabbath Day, a shaving been changed into the Lord's Day, contrary to the Decalogue, as it seems. Neither is there any example whereof they make more than concerning the changing of the Sabbath Day. Great, say they, is the power of the Church, since it has dispensed with one of the Ten Commandments!"
Dr. Augustus Neander, The History of the Christian Religion and ChurchHenry John Rose, tr. (1843), p. 186.

"The festival of Sunday, like all other festivals, was always only a human ordinance, and it was far from the intentions of the apostles to establish a Divine command in this respect, far from them, and from the early apostolic Church, to transfer the laws of the Sabbath to Sunday."
John Theodore Mueller, Sabbath or Sunday , pp. 15, 16.

"But they err in teaching that Sunday has taken the place of the Old Testament Sabbath and therefore must be kept as the seventh day had to be kept by the children of Israel .... These churches err in their teaching, for Scripture has in no way ordained the first day of the week in place of the Sabbath. There is simply no law in the New Testament to that effect."
Methodist
Harris Franklin Rall, Christian Advocate, July 2, 1942, p.26.

"Take the matter of Sunday. There are indications in the New Testament as to how the church came to keep the first day of the week as its day of worship, but there is no passage telling Christians to keep that day, or to transfer the Jewish Sabbath to that day."
John Wesley, The Works of the Rev. John Wesley, A.M., John Emory, ed. (New York: Eaton & Mains), Sermon 25,vol. 1, p. 221.

"But, the moral law contained in the ten commandments, and enforced by the prophets, he [Christ] did not take away. It was not the design of his coming to revoke any part of this. This is a law which never can be broken .... Every part of this law must remain in force upon all mankind, and in all ages; as not depending either on time or place, or any other circumstances liable to change, but on the nature of God and the nature of man, and their unchangeable relation to each other."

T
he Sabbath was binding in Eden, and it has been in force ever since. This fourth commandment begins with the word 'remember,' showing that the Sabbath already existed when God Wrote the law on the tables of stone at Sinai. How can men claim that this one commandment has been done away with when they will admit that the other nine are still binding?"
Presbyterian
T. C. Blake, D.D., Theology Condensed, pp.474, 475.

"The Sabbath is a part of the decalogue - the Ten Commandments. This alone forever settles the question as to the perpetuity of the institution . . . . Until, therefore, it can be shown that the whole moral law has been repealed, the Sabbath will stand . . . . The teaching of Christ confirms the perpetuity of the Sabbath."

Finally my friend, we must go back to our original principal, who has the right to change God’s times and laws? No one. So if neither Jesus nor God changes the law, who did?
It would have to be Satan or his agent on earth. And if his agent changed God’s law then to worship on the day that was instituted by Satan’s agent would be to worship Satan. This would be the mark for Satan’s mark is a false day of worship versus God’s true day of worship.

Remember, the mark of the beast is about worship, not money. The lack of money and its spending power will force all on earth to accept the false day of worship. There is coming a day when the image of the beast will be formed. It is forming as this post is being posted. It started in the 1920's and when the image is formed, church and state will no longer be separated. The Roman Catholic Church system will see to push their agenda of world dominance by giving the people what they want. Bringing God back, by ENFORCING Sunday worship. Simply making it a law will not cause the time of trouble, their will be stipulations. This is where the buying and selling will be for those who accept the mark of the beast (Revelation 13:17).

People not being able to buy food and clothes for their family will be a serious issue, and it won't matter how much money you have, because they will have one World government, the dollar will be of no value. It's already of no value, the vast majority doesn't know it yet. People that go to church on Sunday now, do not have the mark of the beast. Let's clear that up, but if they agree and go along with the enforcement of Sunday worship and reject God's true Sabbath (7th Day) they will by default accept the mark of the beast. Our only hope will be Jesus. We have to cling to Him now.

The Three Angels Message Part 31-The Third Angel (The punishment)

Those that accept the mark of the beast will feel the wrath of God poured out without mixture. The Flood, Sodom and Gomorrah all felt the mercy of God. So to experience the wrath of God without mercy is something I don’t want to experience. We have to make a choice every day, do I choose the Lord’s side of Satan’s. Satan side leads to the Lake of Fire, already set for him and his angels (Matthew 25:41). The endurance (patience) of the saints shows us what we have to do to be saved in the end. Keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus. What is the faith of Jesus? Jesus depended on the Father when He was on earth, He trusted the Father.

We have to do the same thing. Keep the commandments of God. To accept Sunday as God’s holy day or the Lord’s Day is in direct rejection of the true Sabbath, God established at Creation. To be in that number that Jesus has to show before the Father, that have vindicated the character of the Father; will be without spot or wrinkle (Ephesians 5:27). We have to obey God and gain the victory over sin through Jesus, to be a part of that group that can eat from the tree of life (Revelation 22:14).
